This is just a short message following the labour and delivery experience I had recently bringing my beautiful little boy into this world. 

I would like to shine a light on how great the team on the labour ward and ward 16 of Borders General Hospital are, the care and help I received during the time I was within these wards was impeccable.

I especially want to shine a light on the lovely lady Laura, she was absolutely amazing during my birth. I was able to do a water birth that wasn't planned but thankful I got the chance. With Laura's guidance, my experience of a water birth and the birth itself went amazingly, even the aftercare. She was very attentive and should definitely be recognised for her hard work.

All of the other staff during my stay in these wards were also amazing, helped me if and when needed. Such a great team.

We are delighted you have had such a positive experience during your time in Labour Ward and Ward 16.

If I am correct, Laura within Labour Ward is one of our Student Midwives and she will be utterly delighted to read these kind words!

We will share your lovely feedback with all the staff and again we are pleased to hear the care we are delivering makes such a difference to our families.

We hope you are settling into life as a new family at home with your baby and managing some sleep!
