"She is an excellent lady"

About: Community Occupational Therapy / Kirkaldy & Postural Management

(as a service user),

Gillian visited my wife and I three or four times in our home to ascertain what we needed to assist us with mobility issues.

She contacted the installers and within a week we had the equipment installed. She returned and checked the equipment and she demonstrated, for instance, how my wife should get onto the bed with the new equipment she then demonstrated how my wife should get in the bath.

Gillian asked on many occasions, whether we have any more questions and how can she help?

She is an excellent lady. By coincidence my wife had a fall and this lady had a similar fall which she bonded over with my wife.

Gillian said please do not hesitate to get back in touch if either of us need further assistance.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the Occupational Therapy service with us. The feedback that you provide helps us to shape the services that we deliver and it is really reassuring to know that we have been able to help both you and your wife and to know that you have had such a really positive experience, and that Gillian's input was both very helpful and appreciated.

Such positive words of praise really go a long way in boosting staff morale and so I have passed on your very kind and generous feedback and compliments to Gill, who is absolutely delighted that she has been able to assist you both. Your positive words of praise have really made her week, and she very much appreciates you taking the time to share your appreciation on Care Opinion, and sends her best wishes to you both.

We hope that the equipment and advice that Gill has provided continues to meet your wife's needs and hope that you will not require any further input from the occupational therapy service to remain safe and independent in your own home, but should you need any more assistance, then please don't hesitate to contact us (by making a referral (via the SW Contact Centre).

Best Wishes, Neil
