Absolutely terrible experience that my grandad - who is in his 90s - had at this hospital.
Admitted to A&E after a fall and suffering from dementia and sent home the same night with no care plan in place to an empty house where surprise, surprise he had another fall. He lay on the kitchen floor all night.
Luckily, he was found the next morning otherwise he would probably not be here. As a result of this early, unsafe discharge, he suffered a fractured pelvis. I lodged a formal complaint back in November 2023 and still have not had a full response of any investigation from the hospital.
