"Consultant availability"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

I haven’t seen a rheumatologist for over 4 years, I have had 4 telephone appointments - the 3rd was cancelled due to doctors sickness. The last time cancelled due to doctor being called away!

I need my meds changing because I spend the first 2 days of every week either sick or feeling sick and on and off the toilet, the flare ups are really painful and I have spoken to my GP told me the methotrexate injections would probably be better for me however they can’t prescribe them only the consultant can.

Can’t see the consultant, they're never available! It’s bad enough having Rheumatoid Arthritis but to spend 2 days out of 7 feeling worse is just not acceptable.
