About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Emergency department

(as a service user),

I attend Altnegalvin emergency department at the end of January after being sent up from SWAH. Right from my first interaction with the receptionist who booked me in to the nurse who discharged me at the end, the level of care and efficiency provided was next level. 

Staff were efficient in calling me for the required examination after I was initially triaged and continued to keep me updated of the next examination that would be carried out. They were thorough in the treatment provided despite a busy department.

Altogether, the care provided by all was fantastic and staff deserve the recognition!

Working in such a challenging environment such as A&E, it is lovely for the staff to receive such positive feedback regarding the care that they have provided. I will be sure to pass your story on.
