"Colonoscopy at Victoria Hospital"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

Going through a colonoscopy always makes me anxious and a bit worried, but the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease.

Wee Mary, the nurse who did my triage, was exceptional. I have terrible veins, and I knew she would have a challenge ahead. She was very caring and managed to get my access.

After I got a sudden drop on my blood pressure and she was amazing helping me, alongside with another nurse (I think her name was Joannie?). They both help me feel better and be ready for the procedure. I had sedation for the colonoscopy so all went smoothly and I had no pain during or after the procedure.

A huge thank you to all staff involved specifically to wee Mary and Joannie.  Thank you for your kindness and such good practice.

Hi Donna

If I don't remember the names correctly, please apologize to the staff. Wee Mary will know the name of the nurse who also helped me when my blood pressure dropped. They were both so lovely and reassured me.

The nurses and doctor at the procedure were great too.

All the best to everyone at the Endoscopy ward.
