My daughter was admitted to ward 3B for surgery on her airways for what we thought would have been one night, she was very poorly after surgery and ended up having a 6 week stay. She had another emergency surgery 3 days before Christmas and spent her first Christmas in the hospital.
It was a very scary few weeks for me and my partner as she was constantly having set backs.
The whole team on 3B were fantastic, from the nurses, dieticians, SLT, cleaners & HCSW… they all went above and beyond to make sure we always had everything we needed & were very attentive when something was wrong with our girl. They helped train us properly for all the equipment she would require daily use of at home & made sure we were comfortable enough doing it on our own.
The junior doctors & ENT team were also great.
A horrible 6 week stay was made a lot better with the help from the staff on the ward!
"Fantastic care"
