Ward 6A

Elderly mother took a fall on boxing day , broke her hip and has dementia.. 

The staff have been so fantastic and supportive to her and my family . 

The care my mother has recieved has been outstanding . They have listened to me and offered help when things have been difficult . They have understood the challenges that looking after an elderly person with dementia brings . I feel that I am not alone and I could not have gotten through this tough time without the staff on the ward .. they have offered home support and suggestions on how to look after mum at home . 

I am truly grateful to each and every team member within this hospital for looking after mum and me .

Dear Redgw68

I am so sorry to hear about your Mother’s fall and I hope that she is recovering well.

It can be difficult when a loved one is in hospital, even more so when they have dementia so it is reassuring to hear about the care and support your Mum and the family have received. I am sure the staff will be very grateful for your kind words and to know the difference they have made to you and your family.
