About: University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as the patient),

I had an appointment at the Womens Health Clinic at University Hospital Wishaw for some intrusive gynaecological investigations.  The Consultant (Dr Ibitisam), Jnr Dr and nurses (Fran and Julie) were exceptional.  They explained the processes throughout, treated me with care, dignity and very good humour throughout.  They made an unavoidably traumatic process bearable.  I can't honestly thank them enough.

Thank you for taking the time to contact and share your experience. It can be a worrying time attending hospital for a procedure and I am so pleased to hear that Dr Ibitisam and her team were able to reassure you and put your mind at ease. Open communication is key to making you feel comfortable and I am glad to hear that you were talked through everything and there was no pressure to do anything that made you uncomfortable.

I will be delighted to pass on your kind words and thanks to the whole team and I am sure this will give them a real boost.
