(as a service user),

I visited the sexual health clinic at Barnstaple health centre to go over my options for different contraceptives as the one I have isn’t working right for me.

I was quite nervous to begin with but soon felt at ease, the nurses and HCAs were very nice and explained everything to me. We decided together what the best option to try would be and got it there and then.

The nurse also asked me about my smear test and if it was all up to date which it wasn’t and I explained that I have a very busy lifestyle and it was hard to get an appointment at my own GP that would fit around me and my current problems and she asked if I would like her to do it which she did. I was extremely grateful for all the help I received today.

Plus, it's great to hear that the nurse was able to do the smear test for you, especially with your busy lifestyle that you have mentioned.
