I wanted to explore employment opportunities as my mental health issues had severely impacted my ability to work. I had no real idea of what I was capable of or what roles may be out there.

My employment specialist, Jamie,was friendly and approachable, showing deep empathy and compassion for my situation, whilst also providing me with a real sense of having someone genuinely believe in me.

The practical support he offered was immensely helpful, especially with regard to tailoring how he would support not only with finding job roles, giving prompt and positive references, but also going the extra mile with offering to physically help get me to interviews, something which was so valuable to my specific situation.

Having been using mental health services for a long time, I feel I have real experience in knowing what makes a good member of staff in these roles, and Jamie was exemplary throughout our time working together. If someone I cared about was in a similar position needing support, I would hope very much they would receive a member of staff up to Jamie's standard of work and empathy.
