I started working with Deb I think about 6 months ago maybe a bit longer. Right from start she was good at listening and always looked at what I wanted, unlike the job centres. Deb started by sorting my CV and she made it look really professional. Due to my autism, it was difficult for me to concentrate at times, and Deb said this was not a problem and shortened the appointments. These were at my house or over the computer, which i found a bit easier at times and Deb was always flexible with me.
We looked for jobs and we went to jobs fairs and she helped me fill out my universal credit journal as I used to forget.
Deb found me a job and we did a lot of work for interview which i was grateful for. I did not get it and it upset me but Deb kept saying it was a practice so didn't count. The later interview went better but in one Deb talked with the person doing interview and the person then understood that I need thinking time for questions when I am nervous. I got the job and then Deb helped me when I started. I still have the job but work slowed because of the winter as i'ts in a garden centre, but still going back in March.
I have finished with Deb now but know how to come back to her if I need to. I wanted to give her a plant to say thanks but Deb said I did not have to and knowing I was settled was enough she also helped me with PIP. My mental health is good most days now as i have something to look forward to.
