"I was so glad I took part in the weekly class"

About: Oncology / Physical Activity Classes

(as the patient),

Following a breast cancer diagnosis & a subsequent mastectomy, I was referred to Joe at the Friends of the Cancer centre for advice on exercise & strength building.

I was reluctant at first as I was suffering from fatigue & lethargy. But I was so glad I took part in the weekly class. Joe showed us a gentle 45 minute excercise routine specifically for post cancer patients and it has made such a difference in my overall fitness and strength. It also meant I was part of a group of people who could relate to what I had gone through.

There was also a Youtube tutorial I could use when I wasn't able to attend my weekly class.

I would definitely recommend anyone who has undergone cancer/treatment to get in touch with Joe and arrange to take part either in his class or on a one to one basis.

Hi BM66

Thank you so much for taking the time to voice your thoughts on the service provided by our physical activity coach. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the exercises and activities provided by Joe despite your cancer fatigue. It is great to hear that your overall fitness and strength improved. Support from others who have been through a similar journey is so helpful. Continue to keep increasing your physical activity levels! I will make sure to let Joe know about your feedback.

Kind Regards
