Hi I am writing regarding to my experience at the Eye hospital in sunderland my little boy who Is 5 attends here regularly. It is always a difficult experience for him as he is autistic and this can lead to many different issues at the appointment. In the time that my son has been attending the clinic the staff have all got to know my son very well and have made several changes to the way the appointments are run. I mentioned this to the consultant and he was very happy to hear that I felt this way. Although I was told that senior management disagreed with the way he decides to run his clinic and believes every appointment should be ran the same way. I strongly disagree with this suggestion and think that absolutely adjustments should be made instead of a " one size fits all approach " the adaptations that have been made throughout my sons time attending the clinic have helped me son so much and I think it would be awful if that was to change. Thank you
"Excellent adaptations made "
