"Sudden medical emergency"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13) University Hospital Wishaw / Urgent Care Centre

(as a service user),

Got home after being in Wishaw University Hospital since Friday last week.

Began feeling unwell on Thursday. My Husband called 111 on Friday morning as I was getting worse.
They sent paramedics who took me to A&E, who then quickly diagnosed my problem. Transferred to Ward 13. Operated on Saturday morning & now I’m home recovering.
I am so grateful for & overwhelmed by the care given by all of your NHS staff. I am in awe of them. They are very special people doing incredible work - who sometimes are not given the credit, praise & recognition they deserve.
Thank you for being there, I was in a lot of pain & very scared - again you’ve fixed me. This is, sadly, the third time I’ve needed you in the last 6 years and again you were there for me. I’m humbled. 💙
With my gratitude & admiration.
