"Efficient retinopathy check"

About: Belfast Health & Social Care Trust / Diabetic Eye Screening

(as the patient),

I arrived at 9am recently for my annual retinopathy check at the RVH Belfast and sat in the waiting room for about 20 minutes.

I was then called to a small room and the procedure was explained to me. I had eyedrops placed in my eyes and returned to the waiting room to wait for approximately 15 minutes until the eyedrops took effect.

When called I returned to the small room where I sat in front of a piece of equipment which could take pictures of the backs of my eyes. I followed the instructions and will be informed of the results in about two weeks.

All together it was a routine procedure efficiently carried out. Well done NHS!
