"In safe hands for my echocardiogram"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiology

(as the patient),

My echocardiogram was scheduled as part of follow-up treatment after being seen for cancer (non-Hodgkins lymphoma).

The screening was scheduled for 9:40 just recently, and I arrived at 9:30. The specialist, Paul, was patiently waiting at the door when I arrived and introduced himself to me by name. His manner was kind, polite and professional, and I immediately felt comfortable in his care.

The entire procedure took ten minutes, during which time he let me observe the ultrasound scans on a secondary monitor, and patiently answered my stream of questions.

If Paul is an example of the kind of person working at the Cardiology department of University Hospital Hairmyres, their patients are in safe, capable hands.
