"The care and compassion shown was second to none"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance St John's Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

Just want to say a massive thank you to the ambulance staff who attended my mother in law.

She was lifted to A&E in St John's where the staff were amazing. A&E was busy but the staff were attentive and extremely professional. The two staff nurses that were looking after her made us both feel at ease. The care and compassion shown was second to none.

During her time in A&E she also was attended to by 2 students. They were so nice and a actually seemed to be keen and wanting to learn.

Thank you

Dear Jcjc

Thank you for sharing your story. It must have been a very worrying time so I am glad to read that you are happy with the care your mother in law received.

If you would like me to pass on your thanks to the ambulance crew may I ask that you contact our Patient Experience Team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, Care Opinion name, your mother in law's name and the address and date we attended.

I do hope she is recovering well.

Kindest regards

David

Dear Jcjc,

I'm very glad to hear off your good experience in St John's ED. Its also nice to hear about the medical students. There has been an expansion in medical student numbers so we have quite a few to accommodate at this time of year. Hopefully this means they are getting a positive learning experience with us. Thank you for giving them the time with you and your Mother.

I hope she is recovering well.

Kind regards,

Many thanks.

Rachel.
