"Let down by lack of communication with patients"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

All medical, portering, catering really good, just let down by lack of communication with patients. Sometimes after treatment, and in my case an operation, you were left not knowing the results or next steps, which is frustrating when you're wanting to inform loved ones and make plans.

Hi Orionesr,

Thank you for sharing feedback following your inpatient stay. It is positive that you felt that staff groups were good, however I am sorry that communication could have been better.. I would appreciate it if you could speak to our ACS team on 01246 512640 to raise a concern around your stay. This will give us the opportunity to review your notes and speak to the staff that cared for you to be able to review what happened and made improvements as necessary.
