"Welcomed in and met great people"

On arrival to the Dame Carol Detoxification Service, I was feel anxious, I was upset.  However, upon arrival I was made to feel welcome by the staff. 

On arrival they made me aware of what to expect during my stay, they carried out my observations of national early warning signs.   They showed me to my room where I had to stay until my alcohol levels were at zero.  After an hour, I was allowed out where I had a look around the unit.   I was introduced to other residents who made me feel calm and welcome. 

I have enjoyed the company of the other residents and staff by watching films together and playing games.   I have enjoyed the meditation and I will continue to do this when I leave. 

Completing the group work journal has helped me and I will be taking this home to reflect upon. 

I have enjoyed the company  of staff such as Kerry, Lee and Warren.

The food could be improved.

Overall, I have really enjoyed my stay and I don't want to leave.   I am going to keep in contact with the other residents.
