"Very positive and supportive experience"

About: Older People’s Services / Hospital at Home Northern Sector

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

Very positive and supportive experience for me (carer) and for my husband allowing him to be treated at home rather than the upheaval of hospital.  (he has dementia)

All staff who visited our home were professional and courteous.  Our son had a lot of questions and he felt they were answered to his satisfaction and he felt he could travel back home to London with more understanding of his fathers condition.

Thank you for your feedback.

When you live away from home it is an exceptionally worrying time when an older parent becomes unwell. I am very glad that your son was reassured by the communication provided.

Caring for someone with Dementia is very difficult and hospitalization for people with Dementia can be very detrimental and over whelming.

I am heartened to hear of your very positive experience. I will share your feedback with the Team

Regards Sr O Hara
