"Staff minimised the stress of a transperineal biopsy"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

I was called in for a transperineal biopsy of my prostate following a PSA blood test and then an MRI scan a few days ago.

I was naturally concerned about the process but the staff at the urology suite at Pilgrim Hospital were totally professional and minimised the stress and pain that I was expecting. Whilst the procedure was uncomfortable and a tad embarrassing (!) I couldn’t have had better care.
