"She explained every step to my little girl"

I brought my daughter into the hospital yesterday to be accessed by the Daisy Hill PAW team, we had a long ten days of high temperatures and quite a fretful mummy. 

I must give thanks to the care and consideration we have experienced since the moment we arrived. 

Special thanks to Nurse Claire and Dr Sied, for their thorough assessment, their patience with my little girl, their gentle bed-side manner and their clarity with me about the steps they would take to help find out what was wrong and help to make her better. They went above and beyond. 

The care didn’t end there, the first night in hospital, we met a wonderful nurse Siobhán, who has such a natural rapport with children and a wonderful bedside manner- and she also is great with a mummy who continues to be fretful! She explained every step to my little girl so that she also knew what was happening and she took some of her fear away whilst doing so. She made her open up and start to talk, something she had refused to do since we arrived some hours before. 

We also met with Dr Mia who again was brilliant with my little girl, using gentle, child friendly language. I am truly blown away with the whole team here, they go above and beyond.
