"I have been given hope to be rehabilitated"

About: Newham Community Health Services / Cardiac Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

I had a bypass carried out and was referred to Newham cardiac rehab.

I have been attending the virtual education classes which I found informative and enlightening ranging from exercises, mental well being, medication and risk factors to mention a few of the topics

Initially I found myself angry and upset with my heart condition and sacred for myself and body .

Seeing the Physiotherapist really reassured me and she got through me like she really knew my inner conflict and challenges. I am excited with the exercise programme in place for me working with Abi physiotherapist.

Today, I have been given hope to be rehabilitated and return to normalcy.

Hi, I started my cardiac rehab last Wednesday and thank you for team Abi for their support and help. I was so nervous and my body where weak abs stiff yet they have supported me all the way until I finish the session. Shout out to you all for your excellent job to a patient like me. I am grateful for Nurse Julie who never left me and also continue to encourage throughout my first session. Also nurse John who always check on me and give me words of encouragement. To Abi, Emma and their sister. Thank you
