My husband was in the A&E unit at RIE. The staff were incredible. They diagnosed his pulmonary embolism and he required to stay overnight for observation. He was then moved to the Acute Medical Unit where he was equally well treated by the staff there. The respiratory consultant, Dr Cross, saw him and he was then admitted to ward 204 for treatment.
Every single member of staff we encountered is a credit to NHS Lothian and we cannot thank them enough for their expertise, care and kindness. We are all so lucky to live here and to have access to these amazing medical and support staff when we most need them!
