"Still awaiting appointment"

About: Children's Specialist Health Services / Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Children's Specialist Health Services / Neurodevelopmental Service (NDS)

(as a parent/guardian),

Daughter has been awaiting an appointment since the referral was completed in June 2022.

Currently on month 19 of our wait, doctor has told me it is normally an 18-month wait. Called CAMHS to be told not on the list with them.

Second time posting on here, last time was advised to put a complaint in, which has got us nowhere.

Why does CAMHS website now state 18 weeks for referral.

Anyone any suggestions?

Good afternoon Lee-Ann152

I am sorry to read about the concerns you have around the time your daughter has waited for an appointment with CAMHS.

Can I please ask you to contact Clare McGhie, Team Leader for CAMHS on 01698 754514 to provide details that will allow her to look into this for you.

Kind regards

Julie
