"Waiting time"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Acute assessment unit Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Clinical assessment unit Forth Valley Royal Hospital / GP Out of Hours

(as the patient),

Called 111 recently as I had pain radiating from right side of chest to back which had become much more uncomfortable overnight.

I had similar pain a few weeks previously which turned out to be pneumonia so initially thought this had returned and just needed antibiotics, but by the time I had arrived at my allocated appointment that afternoon I was also experiencing dull pain in my left shoulder and jaw. Due to this I had to have a heart trace and bloods taken.

Heart trace was OK but bloods showed a wee abnormality so more bloods needed to be taken three hours later. Second set of bloods taken and still awaiting doctor to let me know what the results are.

Although I have been here for nearly 10 hours the staff have been lovely and made sure I had something to eat and drink.

Dear Sorebumwaiting

Thank you for taking the time to post your recent experience within the assessment units. I can only apologise for the long wait you had during these exceptionally busy times.

I will feedback your comments to our staff who will be extremely grateful of these.

I hope you are recovering well
