"My treatment following a 111 appointment"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

I contacted 111 at the end of December feeling generally unwell and was given an appointment at FVRH that evening with the urgent medical unit. ( that may not be the correct title).

Upon arrival, I was dealt with very efficiently and directed to the seating area. Shortly afterwards, a very friendly lady came and did some basic assessment.

After a few minutes, I was taken to an assessment ward by AP Stephanie who painstakingly went through my symptoms and after consulting a colleague, diagnosed my problem and prescribed treatment as well as undertaking to contact my GP surgery.

I can’t emphasise strongly enough how well I was treated by all staff and particularly by Stephanie , her whole attitude was wonderful. This department is a credit to FVRH and to its staff.

Update posted by Lindk43 (the patient)

Thank you for your kind response.

A few days after my first visit, an adjustment to my meds was required so a further visit was necessary.

This time, as before, I found the same caring ambiance from a different team and Stephanie was seamlessly replaced by Rachel, truly first class treatment from a very professional team.
