"I was sorry to be discharged!"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Accident and emergency Specialist Nursing Services / Virtual Ward Service

(as the patient),

I went to hospital on Christmas day by ambulance 🚑 as I couldn't breathe. I had brilliant treatment & came home 🏠 A couple of days later I was looked after by the virtual ward team, they were brilliant! They put me at ease straight the way and were so nice 👍 I was sorry to be discharged xx

Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words with us. We do hope you are feeling much better now and we are delighted to hear that our ambulance crews were able to help you in what must have been a scary time for you. We are very proud of our ambulance crews.

If you are able to, we would appreciate you sharing your comments with our Patient Experience team, with as much detail as you can (e.g. date, time and location), so that they might identify the crew who cared for you and share your words with them. You may contact them via our voicemail service on 0333 012 4216 or email emas.pals@nhs.net.

Best wishes, Sarah Connerton, Patient Experience Manager, East Midlands Ambulance Service

Dear Patient,

Thank you for taking the time to not only share your patient experience with us but to review our services too.

I'm so pleased to hear that you are feeling much better now. It is great to hear that you have been discharged from the service and continue to do well in your recovery.

Please be assured that I will pass your feedback on to the matron of A&E so that it can be shared with the teams who were involved in your care.

Best wishes,

Kelly Morley
