"Community midwife/maternity services"

About: Borders Community Services / Community Maternity service

(as a service user),

The care I received during my pregnancy was amazing.

My health wasn’t the best and I was highly anxious, worrying about everything but our community midwife, Laura (Peebles) did everything she could to reassure me and help me to enjoy the pregnancy. She went above and beyond and made me feel that she genuinely cared. I came away from appointments with her feeling calmer and better about myself.

Our baby arrived 7 weeks early and despite us being cared for in hospital Laura still checked to see how we were doing. I really don’t know how I would have got to the end without her support.

We cannot thank her enough, she is a real credit to the NHS.

Thank you frostet99 for sharing your feedback with us.

I'm sorry to hear that your health hasn't been the best throughout your pregnancy as well as having your baby early - this can be very stressful for new parents. It is lovely however to hear that your Community Midwife Laura has supported you throughout and you felt reassured and able to enjoy your pregnancy.

I will be sure to share your kind words with Laura and the Team - this is very important to them and they will be delighted!

We hope you are enjoying your new baby and you are hopefully home now enjoying every moment!

Kind Regards

Claire
