"Caring staff going out of their way on Boxing Day"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Acute Stroke Unit

(as a relative),

A really big thanks to the OT and physio on stroke ward 6F RVH Belfast for their kindness in staying beyond their shift to spend time with my aunt to assess her and get her out of bed on a busy Boxing Day shift with limited staff and a full ward. They were extremely caring and provided all the reassurance me and my family needed to know she would be well looked after and get the right rehab. Caring professionals in action. This also goes to the whole team, the nurse on Christmas Eve who also stayed after her shift had ended to find out all the information about my aunt’s condition and explain it really carefully to us.

Dear PTCA

Thankyou for taking the time to share your feedback with our team. I can only imagine the difficult period you and your family faced over Christmas with your aunt's admission to hospital. Therefore I am delighted to hear the positive experience you had although I am not surprised as they often go the extra mile.

I will ensure your positive feedback is shared with the whole team.

Wishing your aunt all the best with her recovery.

Many thanks

Jane Carlisle
