"Keyworker left without saying anything"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire / Gosport

(as a service user),

I've been in and out of recovery for years. Inclusion have always been a constant in my life. I had the same keyworker for many years, then one day I came in, and they had left without even saying goodbye. Since then I've had 3 keyworkers in the last year which has been frustrating. I also think there should be more than one peer support group in one week.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback, I am sorry that your key worker left without advising you, I believe this happened some time ago and since then as a service we try to ensure that when we are aware a staff member is leaving there is a handover period between the old and new keyworker. We have had a high level of staff moving on to different roles in the last couple of years and two staff members are on maternity leave therefore we have had temporary staff in place resulting in service users having different keyworkers. I recognise that this is not helpful with continuity of care. The majority of staff in Gosport are now permanent so hopefully this will resolve itself.

Gosport is a very small hub with limited room space therefore we are unable to run lots of different support groups, this is being looked at by senior management and hopefully in 2024 we will gain a resolution and be able to run more groups.
