I came in recently for a planned caesarean. I had placenta praevia, so I was taken early at 37 weeks. My experience was very good. Everyone during the procedure explained the whole process very clear to me. Natalie, the midwife that was with me throughout was amazing.
The ward has been great, everyone has been very good to me.
The only things I would fault about my experience is that as a first time mummy, I felt that not that much information was very accessible with regards to breastfeeding and other areas of support etc.,
Also, someone who has coeliac disease, I kept getting dinners that were not suitable/gluten intolerant. They did always go and provide me with a suitable dinner when it was made aware to them though thankfully. It was just the inconvenience of having to say it was the wrong dinner.
Other than these two issues, my experience has been lovely.
