I had to be at the hospital at 7.00am, but I didn't have my operation till 4.00pm. I could of come in later. When I came round after the operation I found out I was staying in overnight. This was news to me as 2 weeks before, I was going to have the same operation and I would of been let out 2 hours after the operation. What changed in 2 weeks?
To top it off, nothing was done to get me to dialysis in the morning. I found this disgraceful as they knew I was staying in over night before the operation. It was only down to me keeping on about after I came round at 5.30pm, that something was done, this was at 12.30am. This is not suitable for someone who needs dialysis.
In nearly 24 hours of being in hospital I had 2 drinks and 4 packets of biscuits, and I had to asked for both, no other food was offered. The ONLY good thing was the theatre staff.
