I attended the minor injuries clinic in early December @2.00pm. I had been in a car crash and had also closed the car door on my thumb the previous day. The treatment I received was first class. From the receptionist to every single member of the medical team I was seen by: the triage nurse Donna, the doctor Aidan and the male nurse whose name escapes me (Patrick?).
They were so attentive, kind, reassuring, empathetic and treated me like a person. Dr Aidan in particular... oh my goodness... I don't have the words to express my gratitude... From when he was first alerted to my condition by the triage nurse until he punctured my thumb nail, he thoroughly explained each stage of my treatment (x-ray, scan) and kept checking on me.
The triage nurse again was brilliant.
Overall my experience at Lagan Valley was as the health service should be, and was in my opinion many years ago. The staff are a credit to the SET and the overall HSC team here.
