"Incredible caring staff throughout"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Medicine (Wards 9-12) University Hospital Hairmyres / Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wards 1 & 5)

(as a parent/guardian),

Our son was a patient of Hairmyres, firstly ward 9 (was then the stroke ward) then onto ward 1 and finally to ward 10. Hand on heart can say the care he received was 2nd to none. We had some scary times, almost losing him twice, but moreso happy and caring moments. As his mum I was also looked after by each ward, always made feel welcome.

Had my tears wiped on many occasions and shared lots of giggles with nurses and staff alike. We have since moved on towards getting back into the community after just short of 3 years in Hairmyres. Our gratitude will never be enough for you all. Thanks to every single person who cared for Daniel & us as a family.

Dear Debbiedx23

Thank you for taking the time to share such lovely feedback regarding the care of your son Daniel. Your kind words will be shared with the wider teams.

I am so pleased to see that Daniel has progressed further into the community after spending time in Hairmyres. We were all delighted with his progress and understand how important the community move has been for Daniel and his family.

Thank you to you for your patience, understanding, care and interaction. You are both missed on the site.

Kindest regards to you

Lise
