I have been receiving hormone treatment for several years now through the Endocrine Unit at the Ulster Hospital (delivered locally through GP) and my treatment plan is meant to be reviewed annually with a specialist, due to some of the risks associated with this treatment, such as increased risk of cancer.
Following my one and only annual review to date, I received a letter stating the timelines for review in May 2021 and I have not been seen since, despite multiple attempts at contacting the unit and also speaking directly to the office of my specialist to request a review. I am concerned as I have started experiencing more and more side-effects but treatment is ongoing and I cannot speak to anyone about it.
"Treatment is ongoing and I cannot speak to anyone about it."
