"Superb service from all"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Paediatrics Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son fractured his ankle and needed an operation to put a screw in.

It was a bit of a shock for both me and my teenage son. Staff were exceptionally great in figuring ways to transport my teenage son to toilet so as to maintain his privacy.

We received excellent joined up care from them, orthopaedics and physio and within 25 hours of entering A&E he was discharged having had the operation completed quickly.

Superb service from all. thank you very much!

Hi @muscabs45

Thank you for taking the team to leave such a lovely piece of feedback. I am glad your recent experience was positive, I am sure that was quite a shock for you both. It is always challenging coordinating care between teams but we always endeavour to work together to provide high quality care, I am glad this was achieved for you on this occassion.

I hope your son is recovering well and once again thanks for your kind words.

Best wishes
