"Sad loss of my husband"

About: Six Degrees Social Enterprise (CIC) / Salford bereavement therapy service

(as the patient),

I was very dubious at coming to counselling, but I am so glad I did, I was struggling each day trying to cope with my sadness, and having such loving sons, daughter in laws and friends I still felt I couldn't talk to them about all my feelings in case I upset them.

So when I started to come to my sessions, my therapist made me feel so comfortable and I was able to relay all my feelings to them. They listened to me and compared my feelings to the tide, bad days when the tide came in and better days when the tide went out, it felt exactly right what they were saying.

I've felt so much better and calmer after these last six weeks of counselling and I feel I can cope each day so much more. I would advise any one to come and give these sessions a go, it has really helped me and I'm very grateful to my therapist for helping me.
