"The wonderful service my terminally ill wife received"

About: Palliative Care / Community Macmillan, Rushcliffe Urgent Community Response / Urgent Community Response (South)

(as a relative),

On Wednesday afternoon our Macmillan Nurse visiting my wife mentioned that there was a grab rail that would help her getting on and in the bed. She made a quick phone referral to UCR and an appointment made for an assessment the next day. Two ladies came round that day and duly assessed her needs. It was decided that not only a grab rail was needed but also a walking frame, a retractable back rest and a perching stool. They came the same day! By 6pm they were installed and in use.

Now that is what i call a service! Helpful, efficient and fast to boot.. To top it all another lady came out on the Friday afternoon to check everything was at the right height.

I am amazed and impressed at the same time. Thank you for a wonderful service, and for caring.
