"I was made to feel ignorant and irrelevant"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Mermaid Centre

(as the patient),

I was referred to the Mermaid Centre at Treliske by my GP.

The nurse I initially saw was very professional and friendly.

But I found the doctor/consultant who examined me afterwards extremely rude and unprofessional. I felt they spoke to me as though I was an imbecile with no common sense and my appointment was over in less than five minutes.

I feel the level of care in the conusltant's conduct was minimal and they had no tact when conversing. I was supposed to have a biopsy and scan (the nurse informed me) but was told my appointment was over after a brief examination.

I was made to feel ignorant, irrelevant and like I was wasting the consultant's time.
