"Zero compassion"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

I recently attended Zone C with a family member and was absolutley horrified at the lack of compassion from both the triage nurse and admin staff on the front desk.

Basically I felt faint and was refused a chair by both these staff members. I told the nurse this, who appeared to have no interest and walked away after shouting at me in front of everyone to return the chair I lifted from another area. I had to actually sit on the floor until I could get the strength to get out of the place before my relative was even seen we had to leave.

Still baffled by this incident as there were empty chairs at the administration desk and further down the department.

Shocked and appalled at this professional nurse's attitude as well as the admin staff's lack of care.
