"They have hearts like lions"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was admitted and operated on recently. I don't know whether my blocked bowel was life threatening or not, (it certainly felt so), but I have to thank all the staff there. I have to say that the level of care and compassion I, and all those around me, received is beyond measure and to maintain that day in, day out, requires special people and they have hearts like lions. All the staff, from the cleaners up warrant mention. All are hard working and all are dedicated. 

While I was there there was a disruptive patient, but the nurses spent that night moving us around so we weren't disturbed and I was mighty grateful for it and I feel that the positive experience I had aided my recovery. 

I can't thank them enough.

I don't see why my experience wouldn't be the norm, so don't be disheartened by the complainers as some people are never happy.
