I initially came in to hospital 2 weeks ago. I then had to come back in on Sunday past but was moved to different ward than last time. I am now on female surgical and thankfully everything has been very good so far. The staff are very nice and helpful. They have a very homely and welcoming presence about them. I get seen by my doctor almost every day and he has a great medical team looking after me. My doctor is very informative and keeps me up to speed on everything he is doing and why.
The cleanliness on the ward is brilliant. The food is also fantastic and lots of variety on the menu. I don’t know how anyone could find fault with it because there is so much choice to pick from.
The only issue I have which is not against female surgical personally, but also based on my last stay, is that I didn’t like the mixed wards. Certain patients in mixed wards can be disruptive and loud and it can be hard to settle. I also think it should be back to gender specific wards. I don’t like it being mixed with Male and female.
But as for female surgical, it has been a very good experience and I have received very good care.
