About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

First ever surgical procedure I have had, carried out at Cannock Chase hospital, Hollybank ward.

Due to this being a first time, very nervous, but from start to finish, an extremely positive experience.

All staff, (including the pre-op appointment a few weeks ago) from the nurses on ward taking blood pressure etc, to the anaesthetist (very funny guy, put mind at rest with humour), to the pre-op nurses assisting the anaesthetist, to the post-op nurses and the physio were all very professional and polite.  Seemed a really fun set of staff.

Got discharged on the day, paperwork all explained etc.

Would rather not be requiring an operation, but this was made a very positive experience by the staff on Hollybank ward. Thank you!
