On visiting my GP I was referred to the RAC unit in crosshouse hospital to rule out a serious condition. On arrival l was cared for by a lovely nurse called Lucy. The unit was very busy and Lucy was so helpful and efficient in her care.
I met the doctor Josh who also was helpful and professional in his assessment process. I felt he was very thorough and he was taking no chances in getting the proper investigations done.
It was decided I should stay overnight n CAU and be assessed in the morning by the stroke team.
CAU was very busy and they went above and beyond and got me a bed in the corridor with screens to give me privacy. These staff are faced with impossible situations and they carry on regardless. I would like to say thanks to Steven the nursing assistant who couldn't have been more helpful. Although the NHS is under extreme pressures, the staff carry on regardless and should be congratulated for all they do.
Fortunately I got good news with my results. I would just like to thank the staff for the great job they do under challenging times.
