"The team was very professional"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

(as the patient),

I went in for a haemangioma to be removed from my lip recently. The team introduced themselves as Nigel, Sara, and Seraphina. There was also a student in the room as well.

The process was explained to me before the surgery began and a local anesthetic was injected. This was the only part where I had a bit of pain, along the lines of a dental anesthetic. The surgery was carried out carefully and I was reassured throughout as I closed my eyes for most of it!

The team was very professional, and at the end Seraphina went about what to do at home. The first night and the next day were uncomfortable but I used pain relief and my dissolvable stitches are nearly all gone. Thank you.
