I had a large sebaceous cyst which had to be surgically removed. I had this for some time but recently it started to grow significantly and became so painful and uncomfortable I had to work from home as sitting on office chair became impossible.
After attending my GP I was referred urgently. I was then assessed at Hairmyres where everyone was exceptionally helpful and reassuring. I was the sent for pre assessment, again lovely helpful staff at Monklands hospital. I had my surgery recently and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Surgeon's and anaesthetic team introduced themselves and made me feel comfortable and well informed about what would happen.
Cheryl the nurse on the ward was fabulous from start to finish taking care of me with compassion and putting me at ease. Can't thank her enough. I was fed and watered once fully awake, and thankfully my teeth were back in situ (whew). After care was explained fully and I was home 7 hours after arriving.
Thank you all involved with me from start to finish. I work in NHS but this hasn't clouded my view. I have honestly had the best treatment. 👌
