"I was unwell when I first came to lister ward wells road."

About: The Wells Road Centre

(as a service user),

I came off a 116 before that I was in with 24 hour staff supported\ living. I have been at Wells road for 18 months before that I was another hospital. Prior to becoming ill. I was mixing with many other people living in the community and more independent.

When I was in the community I felt I was not being looked after, some staff had a bad attitude and I felt I wasnt treated very well by staff.

At wells road hospital I think the staff have helped me to achieve my discharge. At times when I was unwell I thought people were talking about me, I know I was shouting at staff and patients and I was hearing voices.

Waiting for my leave to be approved was difficult. I think the service from wells road staff has been very good and I am happy. The staff have got me discharged and I am happy.

Dear matartg48,

Thank you for telling your story and the lovely feedback about the team on Lister Ward. It's so encouraging to hear that despite some really tough challenges you have made so much progress and have now been discharged from The Wells Road Centre.

It's encouraging for staff to hear such positive feedback and helps to make the hard work rewarding.

Well done to you for the progress you have made and well done to the staff on Lister who have supported you in your journey!

I wish you all the best for the future.

Gregg
