"Care for the elderly…."

About: Borders General Practices

(as a service user),

I can’t believe I’m calling myself elderly but that’s how my healthcare is making me feel since I reached my 70s.

I feel sidelined and ignored at every turn, everything’s either put down to age or my diagnosis of MS which I’ve had for 45 yrs.

It’s nearly impossible to get a face to face appointment with a GP, when I did after a weekend of no sleep due to pain they recommended I refer myself to a pain management clinic . I am also awaiting an appointment to discuss MRI results which could give me answers .

Dear Meg1951

I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you are having in getting a face to face appointment with a GP. I would like to look into this for you and would need more information to do so.

Can you please contact me via telephone on 07816 369853 or via email on karen.maitland@nhs.scot to discuss this. I will need your contact details and name of GP Practice please.

Regards

Karen
